On 28 August, 2019, the China Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) announced the first list of certification bodies and laboratories that are officially approved to provide China Compulsory Certification (CCC) testing and certification services for equipment used in explosion-protected atmospheres (Ex products, or commonly known as “Hazardous Locations” in the U.S.). This marks an important step in implementing the new law that requires all Ex products to meet the national safety quality standard before entering the Chinese market.

CNEx was announced as one of the first state-authorized CCC certification body and laboratory for Ex products. CNEx is a long-standing international certification body and test laboratory in the field of Ex safety. Founded on the principles of “science, fairness, precision and efficiency”, CNEx has a track record of providing professional compulsory and voluntary testing and certification services in China and overseas. Besides the CCC Mark certification, CNEx also provides IECEx and ATEX certification services in Asia, Europe and North America.

Following the new rule that all Ex products sold in China will be required to obtain the CCC, CNEx has already taken actions to work with regulators and partner laboratories to ensure a smooth transition to the new CCC system.
